A NASA EOSDIS Earthdata Login account is required for downloading data from ASF. Earthdata Login accounts are easy to register for at https://urs.earthdata.nasa.gov/users/new.

New users of the ASF data portal Vertex are directed to the registration page if they don't have an account. 
You will receive an email with a link for completing your registration.

Use your Earthdata Login password to download data from ASF with the Vertex interface or ASF website downloads.

  • Most datasets are offered as open access; there is no charge. You just log in and download.
  • A research agreement is required to download JERS-1 and RADARSAT-1 data. 
  • In addition, the PI must live in the U.S., but is not required to be a citizen.
