Proposal Guidelines

Please provide a one to two page description of your project for which you plan to utilize Alaska Satellite Facility (ASF) data. A proposal is required for access to the restricted datasets in the ASF archive. The outline below indicates the information required for project approval.

Projects approved under these guidelines will permit the Principal Investigator to obtain both the restricted and unrestricted data specified in the proposal from the Alaska Satellite Facility. No funding is available through this mechanism to support data analysis, although data processing costs at the Alaska Satellite Facility may be covered. The project proposal should be submitted directly to NASA HQ at the address provided at the end of these guidelines. Proposal objectives must be consistent with those outlined in NASA's Science Mission Directorate Science Plan.

Please contact ASF User Services if you need any assistance while preparing your proposal.
