Complex Format Products
Post-Sept-96 Complex-Format Product Parameters
There will be two sizes of complex images (subframe and full frame) available for ERS-1, ERS-2, JERS-1, and RADARSAT Standard beam modes. The other RADARSAT modes will only have the full frame since they will only be available on the precision processor. No complex images will be produced from ScanSAR data. The subframe size is that currently being delivered by the ASF SPS. The user must currently specify a subframe from 1 to 8 when ordering these products. The larger product will correspond to the same frame size as a Full Res image. See the product availability matrix for the full-frame product availability date.
Note that the ground area contained in a subframe depends upon where that subframe is located in the swath. Near range scenes will cover more area than those in far range.
