From Geocoded imagery to orthorectified imagery

Hello,
I am a student who is studying geoinformtics and now I am working on my project.
I have a question about different processing levels of satellite imageries. now I have some imageries (both optical and SAR) which are geocoded but the altitude is not corrected. Is it possible to orthorectify a geocoded imagery by applying a DEM ? In Geomatica, I cannot using a DEM to orthorectify a geocoded imagery, I wonder if there are some other software can help me to do so.
Thanks a lot

No. There is no way to orthorectify imagery that is already geocoded. You need to have the image in satellite geometry in order to apply the necessary corrections.

You can use MapReady to "orthorectify", in SAR terms that is mostly referred to as terrain correct, your imagery. I am not sure where you got your data from, but chances are that MapReady supports your format. If it does not, please let us know and we will take a look.

Cheers,
